The New Zealand Business Law Quarterly (NZBLQ) is New Zealand's leading business law journal. The journal is a joint venture between the University's Research Centre for Business Law and Brookers Ltd (Thomson Reuters). The NZBLQ aims to provide in-depth but accessible analyses of business law issues for both national and international legal audiences. It is a fully refereed journal, with material submitted by academics from New Zealand and abroad, and by practising lawyers.
The current editors of the NZBLQ are Professor Susan Watson of the Business School's Department of Commercial Law, and Professor Peter Watts of the Faculty of Law. They are supported by an editorial board of 14 law professors from universities in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
In addition to the editorial board, section editors have been appointed to monitor and advise on the main areas of coverage. The journal thereby aims to keep its readers abreast of current developments.
Each quarterly issue usually contains several substantial articles, and a “Notes and Comment” section with briefer treatment of recent cases or issues.
