Situated within the Law School Complex, the Library houses a bookstock of approximately 100,000 volumes, accesses a range of electronic information resources and has seating for over 400 readers. Study carrels are available for postgraduate students. An interlibrary loan service makes available items held by other libraries within and outside New Zealand. In 1999 a further computer research facility, the Bell Gully Computer Laboratory, was added to the Library's resources.
For most of the year the Davis Law Library is open for more than 80 hours per week. Its staff provide reference assistance and instruction in using the range of information resources, print and electronic. A weekly bulletin keeps readers up to date with stock received at the Library. The Library aims to give an efficient, timely service that responds to clients' needs. Accordingly, feedback and suggestions are always welcome. |
