Professor Craig Frederick Ansley

Craig Ansley is Adjunct Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance. He has held chairs at the University of Chicago, the Australian Graduate School of Management and the University of Auckland.
In 1990 Craig left academia and joined the Russell Investment Group, becoming the founding managing director of Russell New Zealand in 1992. Over the following 10 years he advised most of the largest superannuation and trust funds in New Zealand, and a number in Australia. In 1992 he took a new role as director of capital markets research for Russell Investments’ Australasia region, and retired from Russell in 2008.
Craig has served on the board of trustees of the National Provident Fund and on the boards of a number of companies in the financial sector in New Zealand. He is currently a member of the boards of the New Zealand Superannuation Fund and the Government Superannuation Fund.
