Diploma highlights
- Intended to provide non-Business graduates with an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship with the opportunity to supplement their first degree.
- Designed to develop knowledge, skills and understanding of how an innovative idea, product, service or process can lead to a new and successful business, or help an existing firm grow and expand in national and global marketplaces.
- Provides practical knowledge on how to test customer need, finance start-up ventures and innovation projects in established firms, and sell and market to customers.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for a place in the GradDipInnovEnt, you will need to have completed a bachelors degree from The University of Auckland with an average grade of at least B- or an equivalent qualification from another tertiary institution.
You may seek permission to enrol for this graduate diploma after gaining at least 345 points for the bachelors degree or any other approved equivalent degree.
Programme structure
The Diploma consists of a total 120 points comprising 60 points from INNOVENT 201, BUSINESS 305, BUSINESS 306, INNOVENT 303 plus another 60 points from one of the following two options (or other courses approved by the programme coordinator):
