Study rooms and facilities
He Tuākana programme has a suite of dedicated study and office space in the Business Student Centre on Level 1 of the Owen G Glenn Building.
Our facilities mean that you will have a quiet and private place to study while being able to network with other students. Its location within the Business Student Centre also means that you are only a few steps away from experienced course and programme advisers and the Careers Centre.
The Tuākana tutors' office is situated in room 260-132 on Level 1 of the Owen G Glenn Building. See your tutors during their office hours or arrange a time to meet up with them here.
Room 260-134 is a designated space for Māori and Pacific students to study. This is also a space for you to meet up with your peers for group work or to help each other out with assignments.
The University provides other facilities for its Māori and Pacific students to study or socialise and take time out from their studies.
Hineahuone
Hineahuone is a place where Māori students can meet, have lunch, talk, or just hang out. Hineahuone is located on Level 4 of the Students' Association building (just off the Quad).
'O Lagi Atea Moana culture space
'O lagi Atea Moana is a place where Pacific students can meet, talk, have lunch, and hang out. It's also the home of the Auckland University Students' Association's Pacific Islands Student Officer.
'O lagi Atea Moana is located on Level 4 of the Students' Association building (just off the Quad), and has places to sit, shower facilities, a kitchenette and toilet. It's worth a visit, so call in.
Te Puni Wānanga - The Student Learning Centre
Te Puni Wānanga is the Māori arm of the Student Learning Centre, based in a kaupapa Māori environment. It provides individual assistance for Māori students and courses specifically designed to meet their learning needs. Support is provided at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
