Business School
Wireless network services
The University's wireless network lets you work from just about anywhere inside the Owen G Glenn Building.
The University provides a wireless computer network based on the 802.11 standard, which allows any suitably equipped device (eg a laptop or phone with a wireless network adapter) to:
- Connect to the University network.
- Access Terminal Services (the Business School’s remote access service).
- Print files and documents.
- Access services and resources such as internet access, CECIL, and Library databases.
The wireless network in the Owen G Glenn Building covers most computer labs, lecture theaters and common areas. Let us know at the Level 0 Reception desk if any area in the Owen G Glenn Building does not have adequate coverage.
You can access the following services via the University's wireless network:
| Internal access | Internet access | Security/authentication | |
|---|---|---|---|
| UoA WiFi | All resources available | Yes | WPA2/NetLogin authentication |
| UoA WiFi guest | Externally available resources only | Yes | No encryption, captive portal |
You can print from your own laptop on the wireless network. Printing instruction and full details about wireless access can be found on The University of Auckland wireless network web page.
