Degree highlights
  • The Postgraduate Diploma in Business (PGDipBus) is specifically designed as a gateway to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Management (MMgt) programmes. Can be studied as a stand-alone programme.
  • Students will gain a solid grounding in general management skills and modern business practice.
  • Graduates are recognised for their broad knowledge and versatility by employers in both the public and private sectors, in New Zealand and overseas.
  • Provides a unique opportunity to learn with people who share similar goals and contribute their own, unique business experiences.
  • Project work, group interaction and discussion form a key part of the programme and every student's experience is considered an educational resource for the class.
  • Studied part-time and is usually completed in two years.
  • Requires the completion of 120 points. Upon completion with a B+ or better GPA, you can apply for entry to the final year of the MBA or the MMgt.

Eligibility

Ideally you should have an approved bachelor’s degree or have completed the requirements for a professional qualification in a relevant discipline, and have gained relevant fulltime employment experience at managerial level.

If you don't have a degree or equivalent, you should have at least five years' fulltime relevant work experience.

Additional information

Fluency in spoken and written English is essential. You will also be required to complete a mandatory online mathematics "refresher" and mandatory orientation before you begin your studies.
