Welcome from the Postgraduate Office

14 October 2013

Hello all, this will be the final edition of the Postgraduate News for 2013.

In this edition we celebrate the success of our latest scholarship winners and the publication achievements of our doctoral students. We hear about the experience of one of our PhD students Radhouane Jrad presenting at his first conference in France, and masters student Amrita Lal shares her experience and success at the Marketing, Advertising, Retailing and Sales Symposium in September.

The Business School welcomed its first cohort of new GSM Masters students, from all over the world, with an intense five-day orientation programme. It was an exhausting but rewarding week for the students who are now settled into their classes in the Business School.

For many of our postgraduate students, your degree will be coming to an end and it’s time to think about what’s next. Career Development & Employment Services (CDES) and the Business School hold regular workshops to help you prepare for life and work after you have finished your studies. Find out more about these opportunities in the CDES article below.

Thank you to those who have been willing to share their experiences and achievements with us throughout 2013. I encourage the rest of you to email any news and stories to me at m.freeman@auckland.ac.nz so you can keep up to date with what your fellow postgraduate students are doing.

I wish you all the best of luck with your upcoming examinations and I hope you enjoy a well-deserved summer break afterwards. We look forward to hearing from you in the new year.
