The University of Auckland is planning the inaugural Postgraduate Festival, taking place from 29 August to 7 October. The festival will be a platform for the Business School to showcase our exceptional postgraduate students and the research carried out by students and staff. The highly anticipated 3 Minute Thesis competition, as well as Exposure, will be a part of the festival along with a variety of lectures and talks from our academic staff.

3 Minute Thesis Competition

The 3 Minute Thesis Competition (3MT®) gives you three minutes to explain your thesis with the help of one single static PowerPoint slide as a visual aid. The ultimate "elevator pitch", the 3 Minute Thesis Competition is run in universities worldwide and was developed by the University of Queensland in Australia.

Entries will be open to research masters students and doctoral candidates undertaking research.

The University of Auckland doctoral winner will be flown to Australia to compete in the Trans-Tasman competition.

The University of Auckland masters winner will participate in the inaugural national 3 Minute Thesis Masters Inter-University Challenge, against candidates from Otago, Canterbury, Lincoln, Waikato, Massey, AUT and Victoria University of Wellington.

Registrations for the competition open on 27 June 2016 so watch this space!
