An evening with CSCM and Kate Nicholl

14 September 2018

On Wednesday 20 June, we were fortunate to have Kate Nicholl as our keynote speaker, who was travelling from Australia.

Kate is the Head of Australia and New Zealand for consulting company State of Flux, and is a lecturer and researcher in Supply Chain Strategy and Supply Chain Sustainability at the University of Melbourne. She has worked with a number of large national and global organisations including Rio Tinto, Air New Zealand, Fisher and Paykel, Australia Post, the Australian Department of Defence and electricity transmission company Ausgrid.

Kate discussed how to tackle sustainability risk in the supply chain in order to develop a robust framework, as well as methodologies to partner with critical vendors to deliver value through their supply partnership.

She also shared her views on how to minimise environmental and social sustainability risks in the global extended supply chain.

This was the first time CSCM had trialled live streaming via Zoom, with over 40 people joining us physically and digitally for the event. We started with a very informative presentation followed by a Q&A session, and ended with networking, drinks and nibbles.
