Welcome to the new edition of Supply Chain Link. Over the past few months we have hosted a number of successful events including the 2012 New Zealand Freight Summit and a seminar by Dr Peter Stevens, CEO of GS1 New Zealand, who spoke about the challenges of global supply chain visibility. Associate Professor Srinagesh Gavirneni visited from Cornell University in February and presented his research of concierge options for service offerings.

We are now focusing on the launch of our Strategic Supply Chain Executive Programme. This new executive development programme, for mid-career supply chain professionals who are on the path to becoming senior supply chain leaders, is in the final stages of design and will be launched soon.

We are also searching for a new Associate Director for the Centre of Supply Chain Management to replace Ivan Moss, who has been appointed to lead the Business School’s Executive Development team. The new Associate Director will enhance our industry networks and help link companies with teaching and research.

More details may be found within this newsletter.

Kind regards
