New Zealand Asia Institute launches new website

14 November 2012

The New Zealand Asia Institute (NZAI) has launched a new-look website to bring it closer to the Business School and express its identity as a University institute.

Professor Hugh Whittaker, Director of the NZAI, says the launch is part of an effort to make the NZAI more informative and relevant for stakeholders and readers.

“This marks a new milestone in enabling us to explain and project who we are, and the various projects we are engaged in, which is essential if we are to fulfil our role as a bridge between Asia and New Zealand,” Hugh says.

The upgraded website features Asia research publications and papers, links to resources including the NZAIS research database, information about the NZAI’s research and events, and staff contact details.

The NZAI has been based in the Business School since 2009 and focuses on engagement with Asia through its research. It also provides a forum for debates and offers access to Asia-related expertise and research within the University.

As a University-level institute, the NZAI shares its research with key members in the business community, other learning institutions and diplomatic circles.
