Passport to Business

This ten-week career development programme is delivered by the University of Auckland Business School ASB Careers Centre.

What is Passport to Business?

Passport to Business is a career development programme in Semester Two involving selected Business School first year students.

Participants will take part in group sessions and career workshops, and complete individual activities and reflective logs.

Passport to Business seeks to provide first year students with a better understanding of themselves and their career preferences. Students will create individualised career plans and be introduced to tools such as the MBTI Personality Inventory. Students enhance their long-term career development and improve their employability by accessing this information early.

Industry professionals will be actively involved in the programme by delivering video interview training, guest speaking and attending networking events. High-performing students will also secure an interview simulation with industry representatives. In 2016 participation in such activities gained some students direct entry to an assessment centre.

Students must apply for this limited entry programme. Those who complete all components of the Passport to Business will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
