Mr Andrew James Patterson

Biography
Andrew joined the Faculty in 2014. His specialist areas are conflict resolution, negotiation, employment relations, and general management. He has 17 years of experience in tertiary teaching across several disciplines. Andrew has sat on the UABS Faculty Staffing Committee since 2017 and served on numerous academic selection and interview panels. He is the recipient of three UABS teaching excellence awards and has been invited to share his work and participate in forums at universities around the world, including Renmin University of China, Beijing, and Harvard Law School, MA, USA.
Outside of his responsibilities at the university Andrew also works as a strategic negotiation consultant and employment advocate - where he acts for and advises employers and employees. He is an affiliate member of the Arbitrators' and Mediators' Institute of New Zealand.
